Paint examination is conducted under incandescent, halogen, and natural lighting to insure proper appearance under any circumstance. Light reflects brighter through a completely flat surface. Swirls and scratches deflect and diffuse light and cause a less vibrant and reflective finish. By scanning the paint surface with a variety of lighting, all situations can me remedied. First would be clarity and reflection which is done under halogen lighting. This discloses swirling, and micro-marring. Removal of these is the first step in the resurfacing process. Second is incandescent lighting. This lighting discloses blotchiness or smearing of the final product. Have you ever waxed a car and saw darker and lighter areas after waxing? Incandescent lighting exposes all of this and aids in producing a perfectly even finish.  Third is natural lighting which exposes all and provides the final inspection view. All and any imperfections are exposed under this condition.

State-of-the-art electronically-controlled polishing equipment is utilized to conduct paint, plastic, and glass resurfacing. Three different polishers may be used with varying pads for each specific paint condition and phase of resurfacing. Each surface condition requires different equipment and polishing pads; Detailing Technology currently utilizes 7 different pad textures in 3 different diameters to cover all situations.  When polishing, slow and steady sets the pace. Slower speeds bring better results and improved finish clarity, I rush no process.

Wet sanding of heavily damaged paint or for those customers looking to reduce orange peel is offered. Utilizing various papers, your finish can be falttened to improve the overall gloss and reflection. Wet sanding is used heavily in auto body shops to remove defects that occur while painting. Digital paint measurement tools are utilized to insure there is enough clear on the vehicle to provide the desired result as well as mitigate any damamge.

Interiors are often overlooked by detailers who lately have been focused on the application of a $10,000 can of wax. Detailing Technology views this as the place you spend all of your time. Utilizing 12 different spotting agents, each carefully formulated for antique furniture restoration, your interior is refreshed to new in the most gentle way.

Vapor cleaning is the most effective chemical free method of cleaning most surfaces. Oils and debris are dissolved instantly by the vapor and wiped away with a microfiber towel. Water is pressurized and heated to 300 degrees Fahrenheit to produce vapor which is injected on to the surface to dissolve contaminants. No chemicals are used; the heat kills bacteria and allergens, leaving the surface clean and 100% pure. The heat also opens the pores of the leather to allow greater and more rapid absorption of our specialized hand applied leather feeding oils. Vapor cleaning is used by restoration specialists to restore surfaces damaged in a fire or flood.

Water which is pre-heated to 200 degrees Fahrenheit is used to flush and extract all chemicals and debris from carpeting and floor mats. Heated and purified water is finely injected at 100 psi into the carpet fibers and fabrics of the vehicle.  The heated water loosens the fibers and the vacuum flushes away the remaining debris and any spotting agents used. What is left is a clean and pure surface.

Waterless and non-abrasive washing technology.  Washing is the most dangerous thing you do to your paint.  Believe it or not, almost all of the marring and swirls you see on your finish were induced while washing and drying the vehicle.  By utilizing the finest wash media and shampoo, marring is not a concern.  VOC compliant and Eco-friendly methods are used when washing.  Harsh chemicals are not utilized as they can end up in our sewer systems.  Drying the vehicle is done with compressed and filtered air to avoid sandwiching a spec of dirt between the finish and a drying microfiber towel.

Zaino paint sealants are used on all vehicles. The perfectly optically clear sealant offers a long lasting and durable layer of protection to all exterior surfaces of the vehicle The trademark appearance these products produce is second to none. Multiple layers are applied by hand and removed with specialized microfiber finishing towels to insure complete coverage and even application.



Utilizing only Swiss made handcrafted carnauba wax, one of the hardest known to man, ultra-thin protective layers are applied by bare hand. Hands are less porous than applicators, hence increasing the amount of wax and oils that will be transferred to the paint.  The warming effect of the hands helps the wax spread more evenly and allows application to the most intricate of details.  Waxes used in a standard correction processes range in carnauba content from 51% to 57% and in price from $250 to $600. A wax is selected on a vehicle by vehicle basis and can be purchased to follow the owner from vehicle to vehicle. In this case, no single can of wax is used by more than one owner or vehicle. Detailing Technology can store your wax of choice with your name on it in a climate controlled wine vault.




The compounding and polishing media used to resurface are sourced from a multi OEM approved manufacturer in founded in Germany in 1888. The media is of the finest quality which contains completely uniform abrasives which break down into smaller granules providing a smooth transition into the next phase of polishing. This process introduces a fine overlap in each phase to insure an evenly polished and swirl free finish. No fillers are used as each step is preceded and succeeded with an isopropyl alcohol rinse to insure all the previous phase media is removed from the surface. It is our position that fillers are a way of cheating to achieve a glossy finish. Fillers wash off with water and the swirls will reappear in a short time.



Detail Technology uses the highest quality microfiber towels on the planet.  Often over looked, towels and applicators used to apply and remove material are the leading causes of marring and pre-mature wax degradation.  Each phase of the process requires a different type of microfiber towel.  No less than 4 different types and as many as 40 microfiber towels can be used per vehicle.  All towels are stored in air-tight containers sorted by use.  They are washed by type using specialize microfiber detergent eliminating the possibility of cross-contamination.



The finest made boars hair brushes are used during regular washes. First a finish is foamed, using the effervescence of the soap bubbles to gently whisk away dirt and contaminants.  By utilizing only brushes made with individual fibers installed by pressure fitting versus glued, which can become dislodged, thus insuring a safer wash. Each wash brush costs upwards of $50. Full service paint corrections are washed using grout sponges which use their large pores to draw dirt safely away from the finish.

There is only one definition of perfection. To achieve this, only one service and its maintenance are offered by Detailing Technology.

I work on every vehicle personally. There is no staff, therefore I monitor all quality control. No vehicle is returned to the customer unless it is to my personal standards.

Full Corrective Service - This is recommended as your first service by Detailing Technology. Please call for specific details regarding your particular vehicle.


Maintenance Detail - This is for factory fresh delivered vehicles and semi-annual maintenance of a Full Corrective Service.

I personally review each vehicle with the prospective client prior to scheduling any work. This is required to accurately assess the work to be performed to vehicle and discuss the client expectations.
